Amphibian surveys
Come along and search for the great crested newts, they will be putting on a show in the water to attract a mate. Bring wellies and a torch and learn more about what is happening in our ponds. Children under 16 are welcome but must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Book via Eventbrite. Meet at Green Porch Close.
Nesting Bird Survey
This year we will again be carrying out a full program of nesting bird surveys starting at 6:15am on 1st April and finishing with an evening survey at 7pm on 24th June. Please check the poster for the varying start times not those listed below. The walks are led by the talented Simon Ginnaw who has an amazing ability to hear and identify any bird in the vicinity.

The Park Ranger and Friends of Milton Creek will be running a children’s craft workshop.
They will learn how to make clay creatures, whistles from elder and hazel and crayons from twigs.
As sharp tools will be used for this we will be working in small groups and all children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Wonderous Watercolours
Would you like to improve your watercolour skills?
Or perhaps you have never tried art since you were a child and would love to give watercolours a go?
If so why not join local artist Sioux Peto for some guidance.
All equipment will be provided, including a small frame.
The sessions will be based in ROOM (the blue container near the play area in Milton Creek Country Park) with the intention of going outside as well. £5 a session book via Eventbrite
Nature recording walk
Come along and join us from 9:30am, we will be recording all kinds of species with a group of local enthusiasts of nature. You don’t need to have any special knowledge to enjoy one of these walks and you could learn a lot from those who do. We plan on carrying out surveys on the 3rd Sunday each month. From March through the summer this will include the monthly bumblebee survey. We will be meeting in the Milton Creek Country Park car park ME10 2EX
