Coppicing Task Day
The Park’s management plan identifies areas of scrub or woodland that need to be coppiced on a 6 or 15 year rotation, to provide the sort of habitats that species like nightingales need. Numbers in the Park, for this red listed species, have been improving year on year.
You are invited to come along and help the ranger with this task. Children 16 or over are welcome but must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Tools and gloves will be provided but please wear suitable footwear.
Meet at 9am by the storage container in the car park area.
