The Friends of Milton Creek are very excited to announce the arrival of Space @MiltonCreek. The shell of the building is made up from two 40 foot, one trip, high cube shipping containers which have been supplied, converted and delivered by Capital Containers of Gravesend. There is still a lot of work to be done to complete the project, much of which will be carried out by the Friends volunteers to save on labour cost. The Trust has so far raised about £90,000 but with the additional features required by Building Control and the increase in the cost of materials it is estimated that another £30,000 will be required to complete the project. So The Friends are now appealing to all you lovely Park users, friends and families to help with fundraising. You can donate with PayPal or start a fundraiser. The next phase of the project, to dig the trenches to connect the power, water and drainage, has been contracted out and will be starting shortly. If you are wondering what all the little upstands are for they are the fixings for the trusses for the green roof.
